1. What is the doctor’s philosophy? Does
your philosophy match the doctor’s? Do you like his or her demeanor
and bedside manners?
Our philosophy is that good health starts in
infancy and prevention is the best medicine. We also believe that an open trusting
patient physician relationship is essential for patient care. We believe
that a physician’s bedside manner is as important as the medicines
she or he prescribes. Dr Mavani has a more integrated approach with an interest in integrative medicine especially.

certified?
Both Dr Mavani trained at Children’s Hospital of
Michigan, one of the best programs in the country and Dr Mavani is board certified in pediatrics.

Of Pediatrics or any other specialty organization?
They are members of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
4. How long has the pediatrician been in practice?
Dr Mavani have been in practice for 8 years.
5. Does the pediatrician have any areas of
special interests?
Dr Mavani is particularly interested in newborn management and treatment of chronic conditions
like allergies and asthma She likes to use evidence based alternative medicine for conditions such as allergies and is also certified in holistic medicine.
6. What hospitals does the pediatrician have
privileges at?
We are affiliated with The Beaumont Hospitals
at Troy and Royal Oak and Crittenton Hospital.
7. How soon after the baby is born will the
pediatrician come to see it at the hospital?
We will be there to welcome the new arrival
the day of the delivery if the baby arrives before 9 AM or the next
morning for babies born after 9 AM. All of the hospitals have 24-hour
on call pediatric hospitalists who will examine the baby immediately
after birth if there is a complication.
8. How does the pediatrician feel about mothers
calling in after hours over "little things"?
We don’t believe there are” little
things”. Experience has taught me that parents are usually thoughtful
and kind and respect the physician’s private time except when
they truly feel they need to call.
