Dr. Jessica Osburn, a fully licensed Psychologist with a PhD in Psychology has recently joined the team.
Dr. Osburn most recently finished her post doctoral clinical training at Northland Clinic where she provided evaluation and therapy for children and adults. Prior to that, Dr. Osburn has had a wide variety of clinical training experiences. She conducted research at Brown University on the course and treatment of mood and anxiety disorder. She was trained in neuropsychology assessment for people with traumatic brain injuries and has worked in a Social Anxiety Treatment program in Philadelphia. She has completed an American Psychological Association approved internship at a school based wellness center in the Chicago area and has also worked for several years as a school psychologist.
Dr. Osburn has a PhD in Psychology from the Michigan State University and is also a certified school psychologist. She also acquired a BA in Psychology with a concentration in Human Services from Albion College, Albion, MI. Her research and clinical interests involve the course and treatment of childhood behavior disorders, including ADHD. Like the rest of the Doctors for Kids team, she believes strongly in treating the whole child, so she works to integrate her intervention and treatment approaches into the family and school environment as well as with the individual child.
You may see Dr. Osburn with her own two children, Natalie, 6 and Isaac, 4 as patients at Doctors for Kids. She and her husband, Chad both grew up in Michigan and are excited to raise their children in the Rochester area. In addition to spending time with her family, Dr. Osburn enjoys reading, gardening and cooking. She also enjoys playing soccer and basketball when time permits, and watching local college and professional sporting events.
