Office Policy on Vaccinations and Well Visits
We strongly recommend vaccinations for children and believe that they are necessary. Our office policy requires regular and timely vaccinations as well as well visits as outlined in our well visit schedule. If a parents wishes to get fewer shots at a visit and brings the child in regularly to still complete the schedule within the AAP guidelines, that is acceptable. Hepatitis B vaccine at birth may be waived and started at the office if there is documented evidence in the late third trimester of the mother being hepatitis B negative. A parent that does not wish to vaccinate their child at all is encouraged to seek medical care for their child at a different practice. We do offer alternative methods of treatment but those do not equate to being against vaccinations.
